The first book in my Grizzlies Gone Wild series is being reissued with guess what…

  1. A gorgeous new cover – misty mountains, hot man back, and a bear. Who cares that it’s set in Michigan. The image is stunning!
  2. A new title. Originally the series was going to have all 007-like titles. So The Bear Who Loved Me was the perfect first book. But for the paperback, we decided to try a different, evocative title. Bound by Shadows. Coupled with the misty cover, it’s a perfect title!
  3. A fabulous review from Publishers Weekly. “Those who like their heroes buff and gruff—but gentle, not rough—will be swept away.”
  4. Cool new swag! I’ve got Kathy Lyons packing cubes for lucky fans at the next conference that actually happens. Currently, it’s planned for BookLoversCon.com in August.  See you in Nashville!

Answer: ALL OF THE ABOVE!  I’ve been waiting to announce the paperback version for months! I was so excited when Hachette told me they wanted to try my grizzlies in mass market form. This is such a good series. If you haven’t tried it, now’s the time! The links are below.

Here’s the full cover and PW review!

Bound by Shadows by Kathy Lyons

Lyons (Were-Geeks Save Wisconsin) introduces the Gladwin Clan of Michigan bear-shifters in the steamy first Grizzlies Gone Wild paranormal romance (previously self-published as The Bear Who Loved Me). Carl Carman, the contentious new Maximus of the Gladwin Clan, could best consolidate his power by taking the strongest she-bear, policewoman Tonya, as his mate, but he’s not interested in her romantically and would much prefer to have her as second-in-command. When the first shift of a cohort of teen werebears goes awry, Carl must work closely with full human Becca Weitz, the adoptive mother of a new shifter who appears to have been kidnapped. As they search for her son, they indulge their mutual attraction in hot scenes that perfectly blend tenderness with superpowered alpha male energy, though readers will need to suspend disbelief around Becca’s willingness to start a new relationship while her child is actively at risk. Lyons keeps the focus narrow, mining Carl’s internal struggle between bear and man for tension and letting the romance take center stage over intra-clan politics. Those who like their heroes buff and gruff—but gentle, not rough—will be swept away. Agent: Karen Solem, Spencerhill Assoc. (Aug.)

If you or any of your friends have ever wanted to check out my awesome grizzly bears, now is the time to do it! The book releases July 28, 2020. Here are the links!
